I haven't been on this journal thing in forever. Life is good, for all that care. I have the best girlfriend a guy would ask for and I'm making some good friends here. I've gotten used to the traffic a little and work is great. Everything has gotten into a nice rhythm.

I called my mom today for Mother's Day. I sent her a card and gift in the mail, but she loves talking on the phone. The woman can talk for ever. She informed me of all the gossip about family and neighbors. It's prom season and I made sure that my sister's date was fully investigated before allowed to leave. I know how boys are.

So how 'bout it? How was your Sunday?

Hello LA,

Wow that feels a little weird saying that. I'm Max. I've lived most of my life in Charlotte, NC so California is a big change. I happen to like change, though. I just moved here with my gorgeous girlfriend Sunday Rhodes and my bulldog Goober. I'm the third oldest in a family of 6 kids. I'm a paramedic...so don't get hurt if you don't want to run into me haha. I'm the luckiest man in the world and I couldn't ask for more in life right now. On the long carride here I burnt myself out on my music. So I need some new songs. What song is in your head right now? What song never gets old?

Okay peps. I know I mentioned this earlier, but now the weather is down right perfect for it. Who would be up for a campout-bonfire party? There will be booze and good music (of course) so bring your friends. Maybe this weekend?

So I got to work on this nice 1967 Chevelle today at the shop. It was a beauty. Now I want one. Some people like the newest gadgets, I just like getting the old stuff and making it new. But anyway, I took a long ride on my bike today. It's about the only way I can clear my head. I took the day off of work to go to renew my paramedic training. Yup. I'm going to maybe be a paramedic again.

Anyway...I really want to build a campfire. Anyone up for a bonfire get together thing this weekend or one day next week? It'll be good to catch up with some good friends.

"There now, steady love, so few come and don't go
Will you won't you, be the one I'll always know
When I'm losing my control, the city spins around
You're the only one who knows, you slow it down..."

"There is a tide in the affairs of men. Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. But omitted, and the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat, and we must take the current when it serves -- or lose the ventures before us."
-William Shakespeare, "Julius Caeser"

I found this quote and I've been reading it over an over. It seems like a hard lesson to learn; that it is much better to accept struggles than to ignore them. Ignoring them only makes you bitter and lonely. Maybe one day we will all look back on these times and laugh. Who knows?

That was my deep thought of the day. Hope you enjoyed it.

And people, please be careful driving. The shop is flooded with cars from accidents...not that I'm complaining...I love the business, but still.

Ever had one of those moments where you feel like your dreaming, so you pinch yourself to try to wake up to find that you aren't dreaming at all. It's reality. And I don't know if I'd much rather be dreaming or awake.
